UFRIC ARTS TROUPE

Ufric Arts Troupe is a charity organization in Uganda dedicated to leveraging the power of cultural performing arts to bring about positive change in the lives of those facing social and economic disadvantages.

Ufric takes pride in its commitment to promoting and preserving African cultural heritage through the utilization of Cultural performing arts. The organization focuses on empowering and equipping the youth with diverse skills in performing arts. To realize this mission, Ufric collaborates with various communities, sectors, institutions, and organizations in Uganda, across Africa, and on a global scale. Ufric firmly believes that cultural empowerment within a community is pivotal for fostering unity, peace, moral integrity, and prosperity, contributing to the overall growth and success of the community.

VISION:

We envision a vibrant future where the energy and creativity of young people propel the promotion of African Cultural Heritage through the dynamic realms of Music, Dance, and Drama. In harmonious collaboration with relevant institutions and authorities, our vision is to catalyze positive change, fostering a significant improvement in social and economic conditions across Uganda.

In this future, the voices of the youth echo through the rhythmic beats of music, the expressive movements of dance, and the compelling narratives of drama, showcasing and preserving the richness of African cultural heritage. Through strategic partnerships with key institutions and authorities, we aspire to create an inclusive and empowering platform that enables the youth to contribute actively to the social and economic development of Uganda.

Our vision extends beyond the stage, encompassing a society where the promotion of African Cultural Heritage becomes a driving force for unity, pride, and progress. We see a community where young individuals are actively engaged in shaping a future that is culturally enriched, socially harmonious, and economically resilient. Together, we aspire to weave a tapestry of heritage and opportunity, fostering a legacy that transcends generations in Uganda.

Keith Divine Mugenyi

Creative Director

A visionary Director who brings a unique and innovative approach, with a deep understanding of the cultural landscape, Keith is able to craft a one-of-a-kind production that celebrates diversity and fosters cultural understanding. Keith Mugenyi has vest experience in African instrumentations and is a graduate of Makerere University with a Diploma in performing arts and Film.

Mugenyi Mariam Amooti

Executive Director

Mugenyi Mariam Amooti is a certified Music, Dance and Drama professional and Instructor with a Diploma in Performing Arts and Film from Makerere University. Having been in this business for over 21 years, Mugenyi Mariam Amooti has attained a vast experience and has been able to transform her passion of creative arts into a reality and as result has fostered and mentored a number of people especially the youth that have successful careers in performing Arts.

Dratele Epiphany

Dance Director

Dratele is responsible for overseeing the dance department, creating and implementing the dance curriculum, choreographing performances, managing the dance team's schedule and collaborating with the departments to ensure smooth integration of projects and performances overall.

Isaac Isaiah Mukaya

Music Director

Isaac Isaiah Mukaaya is a graduate of Makerere University Department of performing arts and film with a first-Class bachelor's degree of Arts in Music. Isaiah possesses a deep understanding and appreciation for music and has a wide range of skill and Knowledge in Music as well as African Cultural Art being. As a Music Director, is responsible for selecting the repertoire, leading rehearsals and working closely with the musicians to ensure that everything comes together seamlessly.

Simon Agola

Director Events Management

Simon Agola is a graduate from Makerere University department of performing arts and film with a Bachelors degree of Arts in Drama and Film. He is highly organized and detail-oriented professional that oversees every aspect of the projects taken up, ensuring that all logistical details are handled seamlessly. From venue selection to vendor management and everything in between.

Lisandra Kabagenyi

Director in charge of legal Affairs / Administrator

Lisandra Kabagenyi is a graduate of Makerere University with a Bachelors Degree of Laws and a post graduate Diploma in legal Practice. She is responsible in handling all the legal aspects of the projects we take that is compliance with URA as well as drafting and reviewing all documents and contracts. She is a creative that has been mentored and fostered by Mugenyi Mariam Amooti under Afrique Arts Troupe
